Question: What type of musician do you listen to most?

Prediction:

We asked SmartGirls to guess what the most popular response would be:

Hypothesis: what type of musician do you listen to most? female: 13; male: 15; equal male and female: 29; none: 0

(a) Most SmartGirls voted that other SmartGirls listen to male and female musicians equally.

(b) However, if there was a preference, more SmartGirls thought others would listen to mostly male musicians over mostly female musicians. Were they correct?

Was the prediction correct?

(a) Yes! SmartGirls correctly predicted that Most SmartGirls listen to male and female musicians equally.

(b) However, contrary to expectations, more SmartGirls said they listen to mostly female musicians than mostly male musicians.

No SmartGirls said they don't listen to music at all.

Some SmartGirls gave the following reasons for their responses:

Female musicians

I feel that I can relate to them more because I am a woman.
