Your SmartScope for July 2008:

It's so tempting to break the rules when you don't like them, but this month, think twice before you do. The consequences may be worse than the rewards. On the 4th, you might find yourself getting an itch to do something you've wanted to do for a long time. The only problem is, you know you're not actually supposed to do it. If you give in to temptation, you're in for a very rocky month, so try to be patient and find a way to work around the problem. On the 16th, try your hand at some crafty communication. There have to be some reasons why you've been told you can't do what you want, and it's time to do some detective work and find out why. Use the information you uncover to your advantage. If you need help making your case, talk with your friends and find out what they think. They could be your biggest ally in this situation, but when you make your argument, put it in your own words. The more genuine you are, the better. By the 27th, you'll know whether the rules still stand or whether you've won your case, and no matter which way it falls, you'll have made some progress.

But Cancer was no match for Hercules, and the crab was crushed under Hercules' foot. Hera appreciated the little crab's effort, though, so she gave him a place in the sky.
