Tell us the plot of the movie.

It revolves around a story an old man reads to a woman at a nursing home. The story is about the love between Ali, a rich Southern belle, and Noah, a poor man that Ali's parents don't exactly approve of. They have a summer fling that even when it ends, doesn't completely die as their lives go on without each other. Years later, just when Ali is about to get married, they meet and rekindle their lost but not forgotten love-- especially in the circumstances shown at the very end.

Is the plot of this movie adapted from a book, play, historical event, or is it a remake of an older film?

It's based off a book.

Why did you decide to see this particular movie?

Because I've heard it's a great film and since it was on ABC family a few days ago, I decided to tape and watch it.

Who was your favorite actor or actress that appeared in the movie? Who directed it?

My favorite actor was Ryan Gosling. The director was Nick Cassavetes.

Which scene did you either absolutely love or absolutely hate?

I can't say what it is because it gives away the ending.

What aspect of this movie would you change if you were the director?

The storyline and acting were fine, but I just didn't feel the emotion of the story. I had trouble sympathizing with the characters.

What was the most interesting or impressive cinematic feature of this movie?

Definitely the scenery; wherever they filmed it was beautiful.

While you were watching this movie, what did you feel like doing?

Talking with my friends because I was so bored with the movie.

If you could put this movie in an award category for being the best or worst of anything, in what category would it be the winner?

Best Cinematography

What age range do you think is appropriate for viewing this movie? Why?

Teens and adults because of a couple scenes; also because they'd appreciate the "romance" of the film. But even though I would fit in this category, I didn't like it.

What other movies does this remind you of and why?

It had a Romeo and Juliet sense of forbidden love.
