It is about a girl called Josiphine who moves to the USA and goes to a party and kisses the most popular boy, Jake Matthews, in a closet. Her personality splits while kissing him. She is Josie the Cool and Jo the Nerd.

How does the title relate to the storyline?

Jo is 'split by a kiss' because her personality splits into two different sides of her: the cool Josie side is popular, and Jo the Nerd is an outcast because she rejected Jake.

Is there something interesting that the author does to present the story?

The author makes the story of both Jo's sides, like Josie the Cool side and Jo the Nerd's side.

Nothing. It's fab the way it is!
