Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer (by Karina, 16)

"A Great End to the Saga"

Book Rating: **** four stars (incredible)
Book Subcategory: Young Adult

Briefly tell us what this book is about (without giving away the ending, of course!).

In this novel, Bella has made her choice to join the vampires, and in doing so, she thinks she has to let go of everyone in her human life in order to keep them safe during her "new born" stage of a vampire. But before Edward, her vampire husband, can bite her to begin the transformation, she discovers something that could be something wonderful or a horrible threat to her and the rest of the vampire world, which bring the Volturi in to play and decide the outcome of its life.

How does the title relate to the storyline?

Dawn is the start of a new day; it references to the beginning of Bella's vampire life.

Is there something interesting that the author does to present the story?

It's told through Bella's perspective, as well as Jacob's this time.

If you could rewrite the story, what would you change to make it better?

I'm not sure if I would've had Jacob imprint on a certain person, and I wish there would've been a battle with the Volturi.

Why would you recommend (or not recommend) this book to a friend?

Because I love the Twilight series. It's a very interesting story, and this book ended it almost perfectly. It was intense, romantic, and one of the best of the 4 books in the saga.

Why did you choose to read this particular book?

Because I loved the previous 3 books in the saga.

Complete this sentence:

When I finished reading the last page of this book, I felt... Happy, I liked the book and the ending.

What type of reader do you think this book is appropriate for?

Preteens and teens. There's sexual innuendos in this one and some language.

Give at least one example of a memorable quote, moment, or theme from the book.

"Impossible..." - Bella (This probably doesn't seem memorable, but once you read what's happened, it'll stick with you, too.)

Would you ever read another book by this author?

Yes

In your overall opinion, this book is...

A nice escape.
