Report on How Do You Feel About Your Feet?

Feet - we all have them, but how often do we really think about them? This silly survey asked you all kinds of questions about them. From socks to shoes, we had it covered! Who took this survey? We heard from 173 girls and 9 boys, mostly between the ages of 12 and 15. You came from all around the world. What did you have to say about your feet? Read on to find out!

It's a tie! Sixty-seven of you said you like your feet and another 67 said you don't. The rest of you weren't sure how you feel about them.
Most SmartGirls paint their toenails at least on occasion - only 34 of you never do. Among those of you who do paint, red and pink were you favorite colors to sport.
About a third of you have had a pedicure before, while another third haven't but would like to!
Significantly more of you like socks than don't. What sorts of socks do you have? White socks are the most common, but multi-colored socks are also popular.
What about shoes? Are SmartGirls shoe fanatics? Well, it looks like some of you are. A good third of you said you buy a new pair of shoes at least four times a year.

The majority of you own 7 pairs of shoes or more - 38 of you said you own more than 15 pairs!
You prefer sneakers and flats to any other type of shoe, and you don't tend to wear shoes around the house.
About half of you said you feel self-conscious about your footwear at least some of the time.

On the day you took the survey, more of you said you were wearing sneakers than any other type of shoe, and more of you said you wear sneakers to school than any other type of shoe too.

~ "I like my hiking boots. I don't feel self conscious in them and they're warm when I walk home in the winter."
~ "Actually, my favorite shoes are flip-flops I got at the drugstore for about $2. They were such a bargain and are soooo handy, I love them!"
~ "My favorite pair of shoes are my brown converse because they are comfy and I don't have to worry about keeping them super clean and they match with almost anything."
~ "I like my Heelies.If you know what those are. If you dont, I will tell you. They are shoes with built-in wheels. Mine have thick tan bottoms that raise me up an inch and a half, and are black with fat white laces. If you're wondering why they're black, I'm a bit of a tomboy, and I hate pink. All the other Heelies they had were pink, and besides, I like black."
~ "Black 2 inch heels with silver buckles. Thet are peep toe, but a really nice looking one not those cheap looking ones. They look like they would go with a nice suit, either pant or skirt. Very classy looking."
