Interpretation
Under the USA column, the basketball cell has 21 responses and the soccer cell has 15 responses, which indicates more responses for basketball overall in the USA.

Basketball vs. Soccer

Statistical Measures

χ2=317.34 p=0.0016702

Evaluation
Yes, the relationship is what I predicted. Yes, the predictor and outcome are statistically significant . And yes, the data does support my hypothesis.

Summary of findings
I found that in the USA, more people tend to favor the sport basketball over soccer. This means that more people find basketball interesting, which leads to people being more familiar with the sport. This applies to the real world because it could explain why basketball brings in more revenue and audiences.

Conclusion
I would not change the study, but I would add some questions in the survey. By asking how people would rate sports on a scale from 1 to 5. Add which sport people prefer to watch and which sport people prefer to play.
