Report for Career Aspirations Survey

Report Title:
Report on Career Aspirations Survey
Created by layne on August 28, 2003

My hypothesis
I think that boys would think more about the pay of the job and nulike girls not think about what your heart really wants to do and what job you would be most happy in. In my opinion most boys think since they are a big "MANLY MAN" they have to be the ones to support the family so they want to make more money than their wife and like a typical guy they make it a compitition.

The predictor
Boy or girl?

The outcome
Do they follow the pay or their heart?

Statistical Measures

Mode: Female

Interpretation
I ran a t-test and it shows that the p-value is 0.040528 which means it is less than 0.05, making it statictically significant.

Do Boys or girls think more about money?

Statistical Measures

t=1.75, p=0.040528

Evaluation
Well to my suprise more girls said they would prefer money over happiness. On thing I know changed the results of the survey is that this website is called smartGIRL so the majority of voters were girls so they had MORE of a chance to have higher statistics than the boys.

Summary of findings
Well my study shows that girls actually want money more than boys. Beyond my study this means that occasionally and in some areas girls are more selfish. In the real world this could mean that girls go into jobs for the money and not the happiness.

Conclusion
Since girls voted that they would take money over hapiness I will now test the age range of girls who said that. Like I want to know if more young girls or older girls would say that.
