I take pictures, LOTS of pictures. Once I took 7 rolls of film in two weeks. They help me to remember things exactly as they were, rather than as fuzzy as I would otherwise remember them.
I write in a floppy disk, and send it to a friend who sends it to another friend. We go in a circle and then put it in our time capsule.
I have a website, multiple notebooks, and an online Diary. Writing is very much a part of who I am. I keep little things too. I get sentimental a lot.
I make sure I talk to little kids who I baby-sit for and my younger relatives. Passing on information about the past and what I am doing now in my life everyday to people younger than I am is really important to me. One reason I've kept a journal is so that I can show my children the writing when they hit puberty age. There is so much in there about my happy and sad days with my parents, best friend and boys who I've had relationships with that my children need to know what's in there. They can learn from those experiences so they don't make the same mistakes. Children also have a knack for listening when they are truly interested in what you tell them. They really like stories. When you tell them what happened today in your math class when your teacher sang a silly song, they see it as a story that they are interested in. This passes on wisdom to someone who really takes the information seriously, not writing it off as another day that doesn't matter.

I do not read my friend's diary because I would hate it if she read mine and as for the crush thing if she really was my friend I could just ask her.
I'd probably look. I hate to admit it, but I would.
Been there, done that. I would never read my friends journal without her permission. I've been in that position more than once. You know, wanting to read my friends journal, but I didn't read it. That’s just mean. I would never want anyone to read my journal without my permission. If they did, I don't know if I could ever forgive them. I would probably read it being the sneaky friend I am, but I am just looking out for the both of us. If I found out that she liked him more than I, I might give him up for her, but if I found out she doesn’t mind him as much as I do, then I wouldn't feel as bad expressing my feelings about him to her without hurting her feelings.
