My hypothesis
The older you are the more friends you can trust with an important secret?

The predictor
Age

The ages of the people who took the survey

Statistical Measures

Median: 13
Mode: 13
Mean: 15.14, Std. Dev.: 6.3

The outcome
Number of friends that you can trust with an important secret

This graph shows the number of friends you can trust with an important secret.

Statistical Measures

Median: 3
Mode: 6+
Mean: 3.61, Std. Dev.: 1.81

Interpretation
Because of our p value and the data from the chart, there seems to be no significant relationship between age and the number of friends you are able to trust with an important secret.

This graph shows the relationship between age and the number of friends that age group can trust with am important secret.

Statistical Measures

Pearson Correlation Coefficient: -0.01; p=0.5.
Values near zero indicate no correlation. Values near one indicate a high degree of correlation, while values near negative one (-1) indicate that the measures are opposite, ie that a high value of age tends to accompany a low value of Trust and vice versa.

Evaluation
The relationship is not the same as I predicted. Also, the relationship between my predictor and outcome was not statistically significant. Therefore, the data did not support my hypothesis.

Summary of findings
I found that age does not determine how many friends you are able to trust with an important secret. This may show us that there may be other factors in how many people we call friends we are able to trust with important secrets. As we get older and our friends may change we still may be only able to trust the same amount of people we did when we were younger. However, the data did show that the youngest age group surveyed were able to trust the most friends with an important secret.

Conclusion
I would ask the question if you kept the same friends since you were younger (to older people). I would also like to ask more older people. There were many response from a certain age group and not many response from older age groups. If there were more responses from older people then the results may have been different.
