The predictor
Romantic Relationship

Statistical Measures

Mode: yes

The outcome
Family Support Romance

Statistical Measures

Median: very important
Mode: very important
Mean: 2.61, Std. Dev.: 0.95

Interpretation
This bar graph shows that both Smartgirls who have had relationships and Smartgirls who have not had relationships feel that it is important for their family to support their romantic relationships

Statistical Measures

t=1.26, p=0.10400

Evaluation
Yes, Smartgirls who have had relationships showed a slightly stronger importance for family support, however Smartgirls who have never been in relationships also showed that this was important to them. I do no not think that there is a significant relationship between Smartgirls who have had relationships and their desire for their family to support their romance relationship. It seems that family support is important to all Smartgirls, not just Smartgirls who have already been in relationships.

Summary of findings
I found that most Smartgirls feel that family support of thier romantic relationships is important. This is important for parents to know because they can let their children know they support them having romantic relationship even before they occur.

Conclusion
I would like to know how Smartgirls define support? I think the survey should define a definition of support. I would also like to know if Smartgirls like to talk to their parents about their relationships? Or, ask the parents if they support their children who are in romantic relationships.
