My hypothesis
People from big cities prefer to ride roller coasters more than people from rural areas.

The predictor
Where the preson lives

Statistical Measures

Median: town
Mode: town
Mean: 3.43, Std. Dev.: 1.17

The outcome
Roller coaster preference

Statistical Measures

Mode: roller coasters

Interpretation
The percentage of people from big cities who prefered to ride roller coasters is 43.55% and the percentage of people who preferred to ride roller coasters who were from big cities is 57.14%. My p-value is 0.038, which is less than 5% - my results are statistically significant.

Statistical Measures

χ2=37.56 p=0.038473

Evaluation
The data does not support my hypothesis. The relationship between the predictor and the outcome us statistically significant. I think I may have been wrong because maybe people in rural areas are more likely to be looking for some excitement in their lives and therefore they are more likely to want to ride roller coasters. I'm not really sure.

Summary of findings
I found that people from rural areas are more likely to prefer to ride roller coasters than people from big cities, which contradicts my hypothesis. I think this may mean that people in rural areas might be more daring or might be more likely to be looking for excitement. This applies to the real world because scientists may want to look at what is going on in big cities where the people don't prefer roller coasters as much as people in rural areas. Maybe there's something in the water that makes them more likely to feel nausea.

Conclusion
I would want to test more people in rural areas, because there were more people who answered this questions who were from big cities than who were from rural areas. I'd like to test more people in rural areas to see if they really do prefer roller coasters to those who live in big ciites. I'll also like to broaden my research to other countries also.
