"Should I Like Him?
I met this guy at school about 6 months ago. I liked him sooooo much, but then he moved. I haven't talked to in a long time--at least one month--and I don't know where he is. Most of my friends say I am wasting my time. What should I do???"

Don't be afraid to take your friends' advice and move on. By not dwelling on the past, you could be opening the door to new relationships in the future. |

Keep an open mind and let him make the next move. Since he's the one that left, not you, he probably knows how to reach you. If he does, great! But if not, it's not the end of the world. You probably wouldn't want to waste your time with someone who won't make the effort to keep in touch. |

What matters here is your happiness. While you may value your friends' opinions, it's ultimately your decision to make, not theirs. This person means a lot to you, so keep looking for him. Who knows? Maybe he feels the same way about you. |

Why not try to have it both ways? Go ahead and contact him, but keep your options open in the meantime. |

Dear d.j spinner,
In a situation like this the person who knows best is you, so follow your heart. Who's to say that he wasn't interested in you? Put an ad in a local paper to see if anyone knows where he is. But if nothing happens then move on with your life. There is someone for everyone so if he doesn't respond maybe then he's not for you. I know how you feel!
I've experienced the same thing and you need to act now. Ask a friend for his email maybe someone who was friends with him. I haven't talked to the guy who moved in a year and now I'm finally in touch with him but I'm a little late he's had 5 girlfriends since. My point is act now before you end up like me. I Hope it works out for you.
I think you should just move on. Don't hold on to a long lost love. If he has moved, you are only 12 so your options are open. You can't really do anything to find him.
I think that you should move on and look for another boy, because if he really likes you or has feelings for you he'd be looking for you and trying to contact you.
My personal advice is that I think you should move on. There will be other guys that you will like you and will not move away. I know it may be hard for you to deal with this, but it's time to move on. Maybe you will see him somewhere again. You never know.
If you really like him check if his old friends at your school have his new phone number. Maybe even going as far as trying to email him or write him a letter. If you think you tried your best to find him just try to forget. At least you know you tried.
Hi dj spiner!
If you haven't talked to this guy for a month and you don't even know where he is, it's time to move on. Long distance relationships don't often work and if he felt the same way about you, then he'd have made contact by now. This advice is cruel but true. I'm sorry to break the bad news but I just want to help. p.s. good luck
Long-distance relationships are hard, and you are going to hit hurdles. He will still be settling into his new life, with lots of things on his mind. Try to call or email him, and if he replies, great! But if not, ditch him and move on to someone who appreciates you.
This is tricky. If you didn't know him well then it's probably best to move on as it is going to be hard work trying to contact him. There are lots of nice boys out there!! If you did know him well, then maybe look him up in an address book and try to make contact. Good Luck! ~ Aurora x
Well, hi there dj spiner!
First, if you know his number, call him! He probably would like to hear from you and you guys can talk and catch up. It is your opinion and your friends are just trying to help you out. Maybe you haven't been spending a lot of time with your friends and instead you have been thinking about him. But keep your mind open in case you do find another guy to like. Personally, before I get to like a guy, I find out what they are like and about their interests. We Smartgirls are here for you!
Things like this happen all the time, and you've just got to live with it. You've just got to move on, because it's very unlikely that you'll ever see him again. I'm sorry, but you'll find someone, and will eventually move on. Life's full of ups and downs, you've just go to take it in stride. :) Laurie-Ann
dj spiner,
I have also experienced these conflict before. For a long time I still had feelings for this one guy and every time I thought about him my heart hurt just a little. My advice is to contact him and try to be friends first. A friend is better nothing, right? If you still feel that way after a while then go for it. But if you don't feel the same way then look at some of the other guys around you. They could be the best people a girl can ask for. Dating long distance is so hard, and I hardly could do it. There are exceptions though. Good luck! Cherry
You may never see the guy ever again, MOVE ON! Date other guys and if by some chance you see him again pick up from where you left off. Your friends are right, you're wasting your time. I mean that in the nicest way possible.
Listen to your friends. If a guy you like has gone, sorry to say, you're probably never going too see him again. Don't worry, there are loads more other guy's out there somewhere, you just might not have found that special person yet! Leave him and move on, it is probably a waste of time! x x x
