"Help! I have a seriously bad acne problem. My face isn't too bad as long as I use acne treatment to make the zits go away but my back and chest aren't! I'm afraid to wear backless tops and low fronts. I don't want to be made fun of! It also can hurt and acne is so gross! Do you have any idea on how to get rid of the zits or at least hide them and still wear backless tops or low fronts? How do I prevent them also?"

23% Try using a cleanser in the shower that has Salicylic Acid, a proven acne-fighting ingredient. Neutrogena's Body Clear Body Scrub is a great product for this purpose. Use it with a body sponge in order to scrub your back and your chest as well as the other parts of your body.
29% If your acne won't go away using over-the-counter treatments, ask your parents to take you to a dermatologist to prescribe a different treatment.
14% Backless shirts and low fronts are overrated. Wear something that will bring attention to other beautiful parts of your body such as by wearing a unique necklace or funky earings.
4% If you insist on wearing backless shirts and low fronts, use a cover-up for the acne on your chest and back that is made specifically for the body — not for the face.

  • My best friend went to the doctor and asked for the pill (but a special one that helps acne) and her spots started to clear up after a week! try it hunny! good luck.

  • When I was younger I had the same problem, but it eventually went away by itself. Hang in there, and don't let it damage your self-esteem.

  • I had the same problem. I found friends who helped me through it and here is what I did: 1) I had my mom take me to the dermatologist to get something stronger than over the counter. 2) Waited; it takes medicines like that a while to work. 3) Didn't worry about what other people thought. My boyfriend didn't seem to care if I wore tank tops. He loved me even if I had something covering my body. At least I didn't look bad!! Just don't worry everything will work out for you.
